What is Interseeing?

Interseeing is my way of connecting to the world through the practice of photography. It’s inspired by "Interbeing," a term Buddhist monk Thich Nhat Hanh coined to describe the reality that nothing exists in isolation. Everyone and everything is interdependent on everything else. That is how I choose to see the world through my eyes and my camera.

My Story

I’m a 20 year veteran of the video game industry, where I was on teams at EA SPORTS, Epic Games, and Steel City Interactive working on the Madden NFL series, Gears of War series, Fortnite, Undisputed, and many more titles.

I got serious about photography in late 2024 and it’s become an all the time love and obsession for me since then.

I am based in Fuquay-Varina, NC and travel across the state and beyond making photographs.

Interseeing as a Practice

Photography is one of the few things that helps me to slow my mind and be fully present. It has also helped me connect with new people and places, heightening my feelings of interbeing and connection.

I cover a wide variety of techniques and subjects including glass reflections, infrared, intentional camera movement, film, glitch photography, cemeteries, and portraiture. While these can appear different, the throughline of Interseeing is always the driving force. Sometimes it's about deeply felt connections. Others it's about the struggle of connecting in a world that doesn't always see it's true interdependent nature.
